The Spice Trail — Help
The Spice Trail is a history adventure for children aged 6 to 10 about the first voyage around the world, 1519–1522: your child commands the fleet that sailed from Seville under Ferdinand Magellan to reach the Spice Islands by sailing west.

Questions
- How do we carry on a voyage? Tap Continue your voyage on the title screen. The voyage saves itself at every landfall, every ten days at sea and whenever the game goes to the background.
- Which challenge should my child choose? Story is for the youngest sailors: the whole voyage on gentler seas and in gentler words, with everything read aloud. Ship's Boy is a gentler voyage with five extra islands; Captain is the voyage as the real fleet knew it; Admiral of the Ocean Sea is harder still.
- How do we turn reading aloud on or off? Choose Off, Tap to listen or Read everything under Reading aloud on the title screen, or at the ship's bell during a voyage. A slower speed is there too, and the device's own voices can be chosen instead of the game's.
- Stuck in one of the small games? Each has a Show me button for a hint, and each can be left to the crew.
- Can the page's guide be shown again? Yes: the For grown-ups page on the title screen has a button that brings it back for the next voyage, or the next child.
- Music and sounds? At the top right of the title screen, or at the ship's bell.
- Game Center? It is optional. When the device is signed in, a voyage's final score and the weight of a fish your child lands go to the game's leaderboards, under the Game Center nickname; when it is signed out, nothing leaves the device. Parents can turn Game Center off in the device's Screen Time restrictions.
